Position Summary

The Parts Manager is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management of all Parts Department staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Parts Department to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory control activities, including forecasting, ordering, receiving, stocking, cycle counts, and returns, to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Department to ensure timely parts availability and minimize equipment downtime.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Review and analyze inventory reports, backorders, obsolete stock, and purchasing trends to improve profitability and inventory turns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate Parts Department employees, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or escalations in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Participate in branch planning and contribute to departmental goals and performance metrics.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience in parts, warehouse, or a related industry required.
- Experience with material handling equipment, heavy equipment, or industrial parts strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach on an occasional basis.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to seven hours).
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and wrists for computer and inventory-related tasks.
