Quality Ballistics Technician Essential Job Functions:
- Fire product and ensure it falls with the following specifications:
- Velocity and Pressure
- Function and Casualty
- Accuracy
- Matching
- Bullet Integrity/Stripping
- Hand load product in accordance with specifications
- Make and shoot gelatin
- Perform range maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning duties
- Support the Winchester ISO 9001:2000 compliance initiatives
- Proven job stability with a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated basic firearm experience to include safe handling, operation, and adherence to established safety protocols.
- Prior handloading experience preferred.
- Prior experience performing quality functions in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Ability to accurately read a ruler and perform calculations, including averages and standard deviations, using a calculator.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, including overtime
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to attend orientation and training on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift (3:30pm-11:30pm) or 3rd shift (11:30pm-7:30am) as primary assignment. Training could take up to six (6) weeks to complete.
- Ability to pass a functional physical testing and background check if job offer is received and accepted.
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
