Severe Special Needs Teacher
Winchendon Public Schools
Qualifications:
- DESE certification in severe special needs, SEI Endorsement Required
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Special Education laws/regulations
- Familiarity with diverse disabilities
- Ability and experience in conducting formal evaluations, developing IEPs and transition plans
- Strong data collection skills
- Experience with supervision of staff and coordinate services
- Supervise and coordinate inclusion opportunities
- Comfort with student behavior
- Ability to write student programming
- Ability to provide functional academic instruction, social skills, life skills and vocational training
- Complete and submit MCAS-ALT assessments
- Effective communication with students, families and colleagues
- Believe in a structured school environment that promotes a positive school culture
Salary in accordance with the Agreement between the Winchendon School Committee and the Winchendon Teachers’ Association
