Investments Intern
Program Overview
Wilton Re’s Norwalk based internship program is 10-12 weeks, fast-paced, and an exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study or career interest. Interns will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Wilton Re projects. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, unique projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.
Responsibilities
Assist the investment department in accessing, summarizing, and communicating data related to the investment assets of the company in responses to questions from management, the board of directors, and regulatory bodies
Review presentations from asset managers and participate in investment performance calls
Develop an understanding of the different asset classes across the institutional investment spectrum and their relative strengths and weaknesses to assist in evaluating investment manager strategies and performance
Work with our accounting software to build useful reports
Interface with internal treasury groups, accounting groups, and banking partners to monitor cash movements for operations or investments
What We Look For In a Candidate
Rising junior or senior
Attending a 4-year university, pursuing a bachelor’s level degree (preferably in Economics or Finance)
Ability to work full-time beginning of June to mid-August
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Flexible and positive attitude
High attention to detail
Highly responsive to requests and comfortable with low supervision over daily tasks
Continuous growth mindset
Collaborative and innovative
Superior proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
Experience with Financial software like Bloomberg/Morningstar/FactSet/Clearwater a positive

Base salary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between $20.00 and $30.00 an hour. Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon a variety of job-related factors as permitted by law, including geographic location, credentials, skills, education, training, and experience.
