Wilton Meadows Health Care Center is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead and elevate nursing services within our 148-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. This is an opportunity for a leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care, building strong teams, and creating a culture rooted in respect, accountability, and pride.
The Director of Nursing reports directly to the administrator and partners closely with an experienced leadership team, including an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).
We are looking for a leader who will:
- Champion a resident-first approach in all aspects of care
- Build a culture where staff feel supported, respected, and recongnized.
- Set clear expectations and ensure consistent accountability across all shifts
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across nursing and interdisciplinary teams
- Be visible, approachable, and engaged with both residents and staff key responsibilities
- Lead all nursing operations across RN, LPN and CNA teams
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate and timely resident care
- Promote a culture of respect, professionalism and teamwork
- Establish and maintain strong standards for clinical excellence and documentation
- Support and develop nurse managers, charge nurses and frontline staff
- Recognize and reinforce strong performance while addressing gaps directly.
- Maintain ongoing survey readiness through proactive leadership and oversight
- Partner with Administrator and leadership team to continuously improve the resident and staff experience.

Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut
- Minimum of 3β5 years of nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care
