NOW HIRING: PART-TIME SALES ASSOCIATE
Wilton Floors – Stillwater, New York
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM–5:00 PM (Part-Time)
Location: Wilton Floors – Stillwater Showroom (Floor Covering Retail Showroom)
Wilton Floors is seeking a dependable, motivated Sales Associate to work in our floor covering showroom, where we sell flooring products and installation services. This role requires independence, strong customer service skills, and the ability to learn store systems and product knowledge.
Position Details
- Standard Hours: 1 PM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday
- Occasionally required for full-day coverage (9:30 AM – 5 PM) when needed
- Work independently in a retail floor covering sales showroom environment
- Must be computer competent and willing to learn our systems
- Must be comfortable with customer service and have a friendly, helpful demeanor
- Flooring or sales experience is a plus but not required — training provided
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them with flooring product and installation selections
- Work in a floor covering showroom focused on sales and scheduling installations
- Schedule home measurements and communicate details accurately
- Call clients to relay important information, updates, or next steps
- Follow up on quotes to address concerns, provide solutions, and work to close sales
- Communicate with the owner or sales manager when approvals or decisions are needed
- Follow and learn Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) used across both locations
- Learn pricing, quoting, and ordering systems to confidently assist customers
- Accept card, check, and cash payments and log them immediately in the system
- Provide receipts and secure payments properly for deposits
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and professionally presented
- Stay productive during slower times with training, organization, or improvement tasks
Pay & Benefits
- $20/hr for the first 2 weeks during training
- $22/hr after competency in systems and product knowledge is demonstrated
- Annual raises based on performance and proficiency
- Holiday pay after 4 months
- 3 paid days off per year after 4 months, increasing annually
- Employee discounts after 4 months
- No health, dental, or retirement benefits at this time
- If the applicant has extensive flooring or sales experience, starting pay may be negotiable based on skill level and industry knowledge
