SUMMARY
The BUL - Facilities oversees the daily operations and upkeep of the building, grounds, and facilities equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained manufacturing environment. This role leads a facilities team, manages supply orders, and ensures the building systems and premises operate effectively to support production and office operations. The Supervisor fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement through strong leadership and coaching. Ensure vendors are performing to a high standard, ensuring we are paying a fair price for the services and held accountable on timeline and responsiveness. Maintain vendor documentation (W-9, insurance, confidentiality forms…). 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise, coach, and develop facilities’ staff, including maintenance, custodial, and grounds personnel, to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Provide clear direction, set expectations, and conduct regular check-ins and performance discussions with team members.
  • Monitor and verify the efficacy of building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, structural, etc.) and ensure timely repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect the facility regularly through daily walk-throughs to identify and resolve maintenance or safety issues.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.
  • Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Track maintenance requests and manage work orders through a maintenance management system (E-Maint).
  • Develop and maintain schedules for cleaning, repair, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Assist with facility-related budgeting and cost control measures.
  • Ensure facility operations support continuous production uptime and employee safety.
  • Model positive leadership behaviors and promote teamwork, communication, and professional growth within the facilities team.
  • Develop and maintain a vendor scorecard.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7 years of experience in facilities maintenance or supervision, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and safety practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance (E-Maint) tracking systems.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to respond to maintenance or facility emergencies outside of regular business hours when needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works both indoors in an office and manufacturing setting and outdoors including working on a roof, elevated work platforms, scaffolding or climbing up a ladder. This position also requires occasional travel.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND WORK AIDS 
Working knowledge of manufacturing machines is helpful.
