DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, coach, and develop facilities’ staff, including maintenance, custodial, and grounds personnel, to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Provide clear direction, set expectations, and conduct regular check-ins and performance discussions with team members.
- Monitor and verify the efficacy of building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, structural, etc.) and ensure timely repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Inspect the facility regularly through daily walk-throughs to identify and resolve maintenance or safety issues.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.
- Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Track maintenance requests and manage work orders through a maintenance management system (E-Maint).
- Develop and maintain schedules for cleaning, repair, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist with facility-related budgeting and cost control measures.
- Ensure facility operations support continuous production uptime and employee safety.
- Model positive leadership behaviors and promote teamwork, communication, and professional growth within the facilities team.
- Develop and maintain a vendor scorecard.
- 7 years of experience in facilities maintenance or supervision, in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and safety practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance (E-Maint) tracking systems.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Ability to respond to maintenance or facility emergencies outside of regular business hours when needed.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and environments, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on different tasks as directed by the hiring manager.
