Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our trailer building. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components.. Your expertise will help ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and components, adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings accurately to guide welding and assembly processes.
• Put together heavy equipment trailers.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal materials for heavy equipment trailers.
• Use shop math skills to calculate dimensions, angles, and material requirements for fabrication tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to welding, cutting, handling materials, and operating machinery.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience working on construction sites or in a fabrication shop environment with metal materials.
• Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for accurate fabrication.
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and machining devices safely and effectively.
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and understanding of ductwork or structural assembly is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and construction environments is essential.
• Basic math skills including shop math for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Construction site experience or previous work in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
