1. Provides technical support to engineers and assembly operators regarding manufacturing processes and tooling, particularly in the use of automated plasma torches and CNC machines, such as punch machines and presses.
2. Analyzes bills of material and CAD drawings for compatibility with equipment, updates drawing to reflect production processes, and resolves discrepancies with Engineering and Sales.
3. Develops layout plans for raw material into manufacturing equipment using advanced nesting software.
4. Minimizes raw material waste by analyzing and programming machines using the latest training and industry best practices.
5. Routes and schedules parts for production, arranging workflow to maintain optimally a one day lead time.
6. Supports inventory control with respect to the accuracy of bills of material on existing, changed, and new designs.
7. Troubleshoots equipment issues, resolves root cause of associated failures, and recommends changes to mitigate future occurrences.
8. Monitors product adherence to specifications, and identifies and reports on quality issues related to automated production.
9. Creates and updates documentation regarding equipment use and software changes.
10. Mentors and trains other personnel to serve as backup.
11. Maintains currency on all training and software updates related to production equipment.

Skills & Requirements
Age: Eighteen years of age minimum
Education: Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related work experience preferred
Preferred Experience: Three or more years of related experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Competent, able to employ computer software capably.
Communication: Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate clearly and concisely using the English language.
Other Requirements: Able to wear hardhat, eye and ear protection & safety toe boots
