Department/Unit Summary

The LPN Testing, Scheduler, and Prior Authorization Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient testing, scheduling appointments, and managing prior authorizations for treatments, medications, and procedures. This role ensures efficient workflow in the pulmonary clinic, enhances patient care, and facilitates timely access to necessary treatments. Additionally, this role will fill in clinical duties in the absence of clinical staff.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state LPN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:

·         Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

·         Minimum 6 months experience working in a clinic setting, Gastro experience preferred

·         Knowledge of insurance policies, prior authorization procedures, and medical terminology.

·         Knowledge of insurance policies, prior authorization procedures, and medical terminology.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently.

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills.

·         Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software.
