What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver - Delivery Assistant position at Wilson House Logistics?
We are a final mile company, and that is exactly what it sounds like. We take product the final mile of its life cycle, and delivery it into customers homes. Most of what we deliver are home goods - cabinets, flooring, grills, lawnmowers, building materials, etc.
An average day is 8 hours or less, beginning at 7am.
This is a 1099 position, and benefits are not included. What you earn each week is paid the following week. There is a base pay, and then pay is added per completed stop. Most drivers are averaging $900/week.
All drivers and helpers must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Background checks go back 7 years, and any violent crimes will get you disqualified. Other crimes in that 7 years will be reviewed.
Drivers must have a clean MVR. No major violations in the past 5 years - No DUI's or OWI's, no speeding 20mph over, etc. Drivers also must have the "For Hire" endorsement on their license, as well as a current DOT physical. We can help you get those accomplished.
Delivery Helpers do not need any driving credentials. Only background and drug screen.
