Software Platform - Product Management Lead

Wilson Growth Partners LLC
Spartanburg, SC Full Time
POSTED ON 10/15/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/12/2027

We are looking for a product leader to take FuturePro by WGP from a working platform with early customers to the product that top managers reach for first every morning. You will own the product roadmap for the platform’s apps, workflow streams, AI advisor, and overall user experience. You will decide what ships and in what order, and prove it with usage, retention, and revenue. This is a founding-team seat with a clear path to grow a product organization as the venture scales.

About Wilson Growth Partners LLC

Wilson Growth Partners LLC (WGP) is a strategic advisory firm based in upstate South Carolina that works at the intersection of management consulting and AI-enabled product development. We help leadership teams in industrial, healthcare, technology, and private-equity-backed companies improve their strategic position and operating performance across five service lines: Business & Corporate Strategy, Functional Excellence, Organization & Implementation, Strategic Insights, and Business Intelligence.

Our model is “market-aware strategic support”: a core team of action-oriented consultants, a wider network of specialists, and a bias toward work that gets implemented rather than filed. FuturePro by WGP is the natural next step in that mission, turning the management practices we deploy with clients into software that any leadership team can run.

About FuturePro by WGP

FuturePro by WGP (futurepro-ai.com) is an AI-enabled strategy-to-execution and personal-productivity platform for enterprises of all sizes. It gives leaders a single place to set strategy, deploy it through the organization, and run the daily work, with six connected streams (Customer & Revenue, Product, Strategy & Finance, Operations & Growth, People & Talent, and Personal Productivity) feeding one dashboard.

At the center is Porter, an AI advisor that carries company context across every app on the platform, linking a pipeline deal to the strategy phase it serves and the hire it will require. Underpinning each AI call across the platform is a growing context base that feeds each AI function, creating a platform that gets more useful as it learns a company’s business. Security and privacy are foundational, with org-level data isolation, no model training on customer content, and SOC 2 Type II in progress.

FuturePro by WGP is a new venture inside WGP’s Special Initiatives group. It supports WGP’s overall client mission and runs at startup pace: small team, short cycles, visible results, and goals that reset upward as each one is met.

Our vision is to be the strategic platform for mid-market organizations transforming how they execute, embedding AI into their operational fabric so they outperform competitors who outspend them.

Our mission is to help executives develop and deploy strategy faster and at lower cost by combining deep consulting expertise with proprietary AI capabilities, delivering large-firm rigor without the large-firm price tag or timeline.

What You Will Do

•     Own the product strategy and roadmap for the FuturePro platform, from the GM activity matrix that defines our scope down to the sprint-level backlog, and keep both tied to measurable business outcomes.

•     Run discovery directly with executives and general managers, turning management frameworks and client engagements into product requirements.

•     Build alongside a fast moving AI-native development team to rapidly design, implement, and verify new features.

•     Prioritize ruthlessly across a large module catalog, sequencing what moves activation, retention, and expansion now versus what waits for the next funding milestone.

•     Define how Porter, the cross-app AI advisor, should behave: the context it carries, the recommendations it makes, the guardrails it keeps, and how we evaluate whether it is actually helping leaders.

•     Lead the build-measure-learn loop. Instrument the product, read the data, run experiments, and make calls fast with incomplete information.

•     Partner with the Sales & Marketing Lead on positioning, packaging, and pricing, and with engineering on architecture tradeoffs, security posture (SOC 2 Type II in progress), and release quality.

•     Set and hit successive quarterly goals (activation, retention, module adoption, revenue influence) that gate the venture’s next phase, and build the product team behind you as those milestones unlock headcount.

What You Bring

•     5 years in product management, including at least 3 years leading product for a B2B SaaS or enterprise software offering; prior experience as a first or early product hire at a startup is strongly preferred.

•     A track record of taking a product from early traction to repeatable adoption: you can show the metrics you moved and explain the decisions behind them.

•     Hands-on fluency with AI tools for software development and product work (for example, agentic coding assistants, LLM APIs, prompt and evaluation design, AI-assisted prototyping). You should be comfortable building a working prototype yourself to test an idea.

•     Judgment about AI products specifically: when a model should decide, when it should recommend, and when it should stay out of the way, and how to measure quality in each case.

•     Strong business literacy. You understand how general managers run a P&L, set strategy, and deploy it, and you can hold your own in a room of senior operators.

•     Clear writing and crisp communication. You can turn an ambiguous executive conversation into a one-page spec a developer can act on tomorrow.

•     Distinctive educational background. BS or BA in a relevant field; or the grit to prove to us it doesn't matter.

•     An entrepreneurial mindset: you set goals, achieve them, and set the next one, and you are energized rather than drained by the uncertainty of a series-funded startup environment.

Nice to Have

•     Experience in a management consulting, strategy, or operating role before moving into product.

•     Familiarity with multi-model AI architectures, retrieval and context management, or enterprise security and compliance requirements.

•     Experience with product-led growth motions, usage-based or seat-based pricing, and self-serve onboarding.

How We Work

•     Startup pace inside an established firm. You get the speed and ownership of an early-stage company with the client access, credibility, and financial discipline of a working consultancy.

•     In person in the Spartanburg, SC area. We build together in person several days a week and work remotely the rest. Candidates relocating to upstate South Carolina are welcome.

•     AI-native by default. We use AI tools for coding, analysis, writing, research, and decision support every day, and we expect leaders to do the same and to raise the bar for the team.

•     Successive goals, not a static plan. Each milestone unlocks the next phase of funding and scope. Leaders here set the goal, hit it, and set the next one.

Compensation

This is a build-stage role, and the compensation is structured to match. Starting compensation is a competitive base salary plus milestone-based bonuses tied to the venture’s goals, with the opportunity to earn equity as FuturePro develops and takes on outside funding. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, and flexible hybrid work.

•     Base salary: $120,000 , depending on experience and demonstrated results.

•     Milestone bonus: target of 15–25% of base, paid against defined product and venture milestones (activation, retention, module adoption, revenue influence).

•     Equity: eligibility for an equity grant as the venture is formally capitalized, with the size reflecting founding-team contribution.

Why Now

  • If you have built product at a startup, you know AI has changed what a small team can ship. If you have run a business, you know what leaders actually need from software. We are looking for someone who has done both. Apply with your resume and a short note on a product decision you made under uncertainty and what happened next.
