What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Principal's Secretary Long Term Substitute position at Wilson Elementary School?
Position Summary:
Provides administrative and organizational support to the principal while helping manage the daily operations of the school office. Serves as a primary point of contact for staff, students, families, and visitors; coordinates schedules and communication; maintains records; assists with attendance, purchasing, and building logistics; and helps ensure the school runs smoothly and efficiently. Must be organized, dependable, welcoming, able to maintain confidentiality, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy elementary school environment.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working as a building, department, or district administrative assistant, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates/Technical degree preferred.
Hours/Schedule:
M-F: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
This position is for 11/2/26 - 3/30/26.
Pay Rate:
$17.51/hour clerical sub rate for days 1-60. On day 61, you are eligible to move to the B-2-3 Tier 1 contract rate of $22.91/hour for the rest of your assignment.
Employee will collect Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)/Sicl time in this position.
