Responsibilities:
- Ensures that Safety is always the highest priority
- Personally responsible for seeking, identifying, and creating opportunities.
- Responsible for generating estimates, to include the review of specifications and drawings, attending pre-bid project meetings and job site visits as required, assembling an accurate project takeoff.
- Contact general contractors bidding each project to determine other general and electrical contractors whom are also bidding.
- Organizes and maintains the project in such a manner to ensure a successful completion while maintaining or exceeding projected profit margins.
- Monitors and takes full responsibility for the project budget.
- Participates in marketing by keeping good relationships with the customers.
- Ensures that Human Resources standards are strictly met.
- Manages the contracting process and recommends wording changes; recommends when the contract is ready for signature.
- Manage and Coordinate Blue Stake for projects as needed.
- Assist in transfer from project data from written to digital.
- Works with Foremen to develop layout drawings, commodities list and purchase orders.
- Is available primarily at the office, or reachable when at jobsites or offsite meetings.
- Coordinates schedule of the job with General Contractor and other subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- Superior communication skills written and verbal.
- Safe working procedures and knowledge of OSHA requirements.
- History of strong client relationships and management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/construction drawings accordingly to state/local code requirements.
- Experience with contract documents: contract drawings, specifications, subcontracts, contract addendum, and change orders.
- Knowledge of Dry Utility codes and/or electrical codes.
