Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our team. Duties
- Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using financial software such as QuickBooks.
- Reconcile accounts regularly, including bank statements, credit card accounts, and ledger balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare journal entries for month-end closing activities, including debits & credits and account analysis.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting tasks to support audit readiness and compliance.
- Manage invoice processing, payment scheduling, and customer service inquiries related to billing or account discrepancies.
- Manage payroll
- Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, financial concepts understanding, and data analysis using Excel spreadsheets for detailed reports.
- Support in inventory control management working with various departments
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong foundation in bookkeeping, data entry, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms is essential.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), governmental accounting standards is preferred.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts including journal entries, debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger management.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel—for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments will be highly regarded.
