We are looking for an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic / Shop Foreman who can bring technical expertise, strong leadership, and a hands-on approach to our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers.
- Work with diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and other major truck components.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair DPF systems, including regeneration issues, aftertreatment systems, and related emissions components.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to other mechanics.
- Help assign, prioritize, and oversee daily repair jobs to maintain shop efficiency.
- Work directly with the owner to diagnose complex mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Assist with identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts needed for repairs.
- Ensure repairs are completed correctly, safely, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Communicate effectively with the owner, team members, and customers when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with DPF systems and diesel aftertreatment diagnostics is required.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and direct other mechanics.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and solve complex mechanical problems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Dependable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship.
- Previous experience as a lead mechanic, senior technician, or shop foreman is preferred.
