Our Albuquerque office is seeking a full-time Engineer in Training to support our Land Development group. We are looking for someone with great communication skills who enjoys being part of a team environment. We are seeking a self-starter with a high attention to detail that wants to work in a professional setting advancing their career in civil design. Additionally, you will collaborate with other disciplines, project managers and support staff, as well as our clients, to ensure the successful completion of tasks.

Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of site civil engineering plans and construction documents for land development projects
- Support engineering design efforts involving:
- Site layout and geometry
- Grading and earthwork design
- Storm drainage systems
- Stormwater management facilities
- Water and sanitary sewer utilities
- Roadway and parking lot design
- Erosion and sediment control plans
- Perform engineering calculations related to hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, utilities, and grading
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software for drafting and design development
- Assist with hydrology and storm drainage modeling programs
- Support permitting efforts for land disturbance, utility coordination, and municipal approvals
- Research zoning requirements, development ordinances, and jurisdictional standards
- Coordinate with surveyors, architects, planners, geotechnical engineers, utility providers, contractors, and public agencies
- Participate in field visits, construction observations, and site investigations
- Assist with preparation of technical specifications, bid packages, reports, and project exhibits
- Support project managers with scheduling, budgeting, task tracking, and project coordination
- Revise engineering plans based on internal quality reviews and agency comments
- Assist with maintaining project documentation and quality control standards
- Participate in client meetings and interdisciplinary coordination efforts
- Experience in CADD utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation.
- Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Word and Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related curriculum from an ABET accredited school.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain
- 0–4 years of relevant site civil or land development engineering experience
- Basic understanding of Site grading, Drainage design, Utility infrastructure, Stormwater management, and Land development permitting processes
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation software is highly preferred.

Salary : $36 - $50
