Adjunct/Part-time Instructor teaching Medical Office Administration
Qualifications
Two years of experience working in a medical office in billing and coding. Two years of experience teaching in a community college setting.
Essential Duties
To teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes; maintain and submit accurate attendance; maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades; submit required forms and documents in a timely manner. Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor.
Education and Experience
Required: Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Certifications: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CPC-H (Certified Professional Coder-Hospital) or CPC-I (Certified Professional Coder Instructor).
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Certification: CPC-I (Certified Professional Coder Instructor)
CMCS (Certified Medical Coding Specialist - National Healthcare Association - NHA), CMRS (Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist - American Medical Billing Association - AMBA) & CMBS (Certified Medical Billing Specialist - Medical Association of Billers - MAB)
