Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions will lead, innovate, and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy designed to meet enrollment goals while ensuring a seamless and student-centered experience from inquiry through matriculation.
The Director of Admissions plays a pivotal role in advancing the institution’s mission by attracting, enrolling, and supporting a diverse and talented student body. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence institutional growth, collaborate across departments, and drive meaningful impact through strategic enrollment leadership. The position oversees an experienced team of nine admission professionals and will have the opportunity to build upon a successful annual enrollment plan.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive annual recruitment plan for undergraduate (first-time and transfer), graduate, and online student populations.
- Partner with the Vice President for Enrollment Management to establish enrollment goals, projections, and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with institutional priorities.
- Prepare and manage the admissions operational budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and return on investment.
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including prospect generation, application development, yield strategies, and enrollment conversion.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and performance expectations for admissions counselors, CRM manager, and support personnel.
- Partner with Financial Aid and Student Financial Services to align awarding strategies with recruitment and yield goals.
- Work collectively with VPEM and Marketing & Communications division developing multi-channel communication strategies (digital, print, events, travel, and outreach campaigns).
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred)
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a related field
- Demonstrated success in recruitment strategy, team leadership, and goal attainment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience with CRM systems (Slate preferred) and student information systems (Ellucian Colleague a plus)
- A deep commitment to student success and expanding access to higher education
Work Environment
This full-time, exempt position requires flexibility, including evening and weekend commitments during peak recruitment cycles, as well as regional and occasional national travel.
