Position Overview 

Wilson Auto Family is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day dealership accounting functions, and helping ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time. 

We’re looking for someone who is organized, comfortable working with numbers and deadlines, and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities while working closely with the rest of the office team. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist with daily and monthly dealership accounting functions 

• Prepare and post journal entries and account adjustments 

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and research discrepancies 

• Assist with bank and balance sheet reconciliations 

• Review accounting schedules and resolve outstanding items 

• Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable activity 

• Assist with vehicle sales accounting and deal-related documentation 

• Review invoices, statements, and supporting documentation for accuracy 

• Assist with month-end closing processes 

• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records 

• Help prepare reports and supporting documentation for management 

• Assist with audits and other accounting information requests 

• Work with dealership departments to research and correct accounting issues 

• Follow established internal controls and accounting procedures 

• Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed 

Qualifications 

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required 

• Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

• Good organizational and time-management skills 

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines 

• Strong Excel and general computer skills 

• Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through until they are resolved 

• Professional communication skills 

• Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately 

• Dependable, accountable, and willing to work as part of a team

Pay 

Starting pay: $45,000 - $60,000 per year. Depending on qualifications and experience.
