Truck Shop Mechanic
Summary Description: Repair and Maintain Wilson Brothers Milling Co, Inc, equipment.
Essential Job Functions/ Duties:
1 . Perform maintenance on all equipment as needed.
2 . Repair equipment as needed.
3 . Drop and hook all types of trailers.
4 . Perform inspections on equipment.
5 . Diagnose/Determine mechanical problems and failures.
6 . Diagnose truck issues using computer software.
7 . Repair items post diagnoses.
8 . Perform job in the safest manner possible.
9 . Be kind, courteous, and respectful of ALL drivers, salesmen, and Co-Workers
Secondary Functions/Duties:
1 . Able to respond to after hours service calls as needed.
2 . Flexible to work some weekends.
3 . Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications/Experience/License: Minimum of 3 years as Maintaince Mechanic - and/or hold a two year diesel school degree. Holds a valid Medical Card and CDL. Good driving record. Ability to keep good accurate maintenance records Able to pass pre-employment drug test.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma required.
Technical Degree preferred
Physical/Mental Requirements:
1 . Ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater on an infrequent basics.
2 . Work with hand tools on trucks and trailers. Hand, Leg, and Arm dexterity to perform duties.
3 . Good Hand, Leg, and Arm dexterity to perform duties.
4 . Able to sit and / or stand for extended periods of time. 5 . Ability to climb to and work at heights that exceed 13'.
6 . Ability to dismount and mount truck tires.
7 . Work outside in all types of weather conditions.
8 . Work in dirty greasy conditions.
Safety Requirements
1 . Obey all local and federal highway laws when driving company vehicle.
2 . Comply with ALL Wilson Brothers Company Policies.
3 . Wear seatbelts while driving a Company Vehicle.
4 . Wear steel toed shoes while on duty. Company will provide $60 of shoe cost.
5 . Wear appropriate hand, eye, face, and hearing protection as needed while performing duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
