Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Originate quality conventional, FHA, VA, RD, and THDA residential loans based on secondary market guidelines
- Responsible for generating production volume based on assigned production goals
- Network with realtors, builders, attorneys, and CPAs to generate a referral base
- Develop mortgage loan business with new prospects
- Interview loan applicants and generate complete loan applications with necessary supporting documentation for submission to processing
- Monitor the loan process to facilitate timely closings
- Utilize sales and service strategies to retain existing relationships and enable growth of new relationships. Actively participates in follow-up strategies.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations
- Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
- Attend training as requested
- Participate in outside community activities as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of residential mortgage origination experience
- Ability to develop business in the targeted market areas
- Extensive knowledge of all guidelines, laws, and regulations related to mortgage lending
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard software applications
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and networking skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
