Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- 2 years experience in a leadership role
- Prior experience in retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service roles required
- Previous dispensary experience and/or knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods helpful but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Able to successfully pass an extensive background check
- Have or Obtain IIC from Maine Office of Cannabis Policy
Responsibilities
- Work with the General Manager to oversee efficient and compliant store operations
- Ensure all customer needs and concerns are addressed for maximum customer satisfaction
- Develop a professional team passionate and knowledgeable about cannabis and the local community/client base
- Support the General Manager with overall dispensary management and compliant operations
- Execute dispensary opening and closing procedures
- Ensure equipment including computers, scales, printers, and fax machines are in working
- Inventory control, delivery intake, stocking shelves, and relevant data entry
- . Inventory levels and ordering for all fulfillment, facility, and office supplies
- Maintain a current and thorough understanding of Maine state laws and regulations governing cannabis.
- Cross-train Muses to be able to execute sales / customer service, fulfillment, and security responsibilities in a compliant and effective manner
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays with availability for shifts that include opening and closing the store
- Prepare and effectively lead state inspectors through scheduled and unannounced inspections
- Manage employees’ performance by observing performance, providing feedback, and giving recognition
- Maintain accurate records for all necessary documents; including but not limited to: daily cash reconciliations, delivery and inventory manifests, nightly and monthly inventory counts, necessary employee and patient/customer information, log books, inventory adjustments and destruction reports, in accordance with Company and State guidelines
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the store including organizing products and inventory, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Builds and increases customer retention, fosters customer relationships, and develops brand awareness and loyalty
- Extensive cannabis product knowledge required
- Weekends required/open availability for scheduling
