The Opportunity
The Lien Auditor is responsible for reviewing case files to assess lien status, verify funds held in trust, and identify any discrepancies related to undisputed funds. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement within the firm.
Accountable for
- Review and audit case files to determine lien status, trust balances, and undisputed funds
- Identify, flag, and communicate discrepancies to the Lien team
- Track and report audit findings with accuracy and consistency
- Maintain detailed audit notes and documentation within the case management system
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews
- Ensure deadlines related to lien resolution and settlement disbursements are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve lien workflows and reduce delays
- Monitor and review IOLTA trust account activity for accuracy and compliance
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized with the ability to manage and reprioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Salesforce and tools preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred (not required)
- $26 - $33 depending on experience
