JOB SUMMARY
Brawerman Elementary School of Wilshire Boulevard Temple is hiring for a School Technology Support Specialist.
The School Technology Support Specialist is responsible for school-based technical support for students and staff (faculty/administration), ensuring that technology hardware and software work to fulfill educational requirements and needs.
The School Technology Support Specialist works both independently and collaboratively. They independently resolve user technical problems, but also coordinate with other technology staff and/or supervisors to refer to or resolve more complex issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain the school’s inventory of student and faculty Apple devices (iPads, MacBooks, iMacs), printers, presentation equipment, and other related hardware.
- Assign and collect student Apple devices and peripherals as needed.
- Management (creation/removal) of user accounts.
- Assign one-day loaner devices to students who need temporary Apple devices. Assess damage and enter tickets for repair of devices.
- Support staff and students in troubleshooting procedures for Apple hardware, software and peripherals, such as printing errors, network connectivity problems, presentation system issues, email issues, and device power issues.
- Purchase of inventory and replacement Apple devices and accessories.
- Monitor student use of equipment, Internet, email and other technology resources as requested by supervisor(s) or school administrators.
- Administer and maintain content filtering systems to ensure student safety and age-appropriate access to online resources in compliance with school policy and applicable regulations.
- Manage Apple device enrollment, configuration, and deployment using Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
- Printer & Copier basic troubleshooting and toner changes.
- Support annual testing efforts in collaboration with school administration.
- Share information with school staff regarding learning opportunities, technical implementations and timelines, and technology requirements specific to the Apple ecosystem.
- Ensure the technology labs on all sites are fully functional.
- Support after-school programs and projects as needed, providing technology assistance to staff and students during extended hours activities.
- Support religious schools on occasional weekends as needed. Weekend availability is a mandatory requirement of this position.
- Support of ECC (Early Childhood Center) technology.
- Update firmware/OS on Apple devices including iPadOS and macOS updates.
- Reliable personal transportation is required. This position serves three campus locations the Irmas Campus, the Resnick Campus, and the Glazer Campus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
May experience frequent interruptions. Physical requirements include operating computer equipment, moving and lifting computer equipment and related peripherals (bending, pushing, repetitive motions, kneeling and stooping). Must have physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. This position requires occasional weekend availability in support of religious school programs; this is a mandatory expectation of the role.
