What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Electrical/Controls Technician position at Wilsenergy?
Your Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Fundamental understanding of specifications, programming, commissioning, final tuning of HVAC controls
- Perform factory, site, and customer acceptance tests, identifying actual and potential nonconformances.
- Assist with project management, planning and review of technical decisions and challenges.
- Maintain documentation, drawings, technical and activity reports in a timely manner, also assist with proposals, quotations and estimates.
- Strive to develop and maintain technical best practice.
- Provide mentoring and development of less experienced technical staff as well as job project/contract training for customers.
- Systematic diagnosis and troubleshooting of maintained systems.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings. Ability to redline changes as needed.
- Ensure issued instruments and tools are in working condition.
Requirements
- Required to have own tools
- An understanding of HVAC and Building Services Applications
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Solid working knowledge of computers, operating systems and associated peripherals
- Sound working knowledge of HVAC systems and associated plant / control systems and philosophies and an understanding of power and control systems
- Demonstrable success with best practice commissioning of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of High Voltage and Low Voltage
- Must hold a valid driving license.
- Must be able to pass required background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
