Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved college or university—Master’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience is preferred. Experience in alcohol and drug field desirable.
  • CPR and CPI certifications (training provided at the facility)
  • Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of North Carolina.
  • Ability to work with male and female adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed population.
  • Working experience in the field of addictionology preferred but not required.

Essential Job Duties

  • Performs Medical Assessment at all levels of care within timeframe.
  • Completes documentation in the medical record accurately and timely recording all care rendered.
  • Prescribes medication as indicated
  • Provides consultation to non-medical staff regarding condition of patient
  • Participates in the multidisciplinary treatment team
