What are the responsibilities and job description for the Educational Assistant - Life Skills Program position at Wilmington Public Schools?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The classroom assistant supports students within and outside of the general education classroom according to their IEPs. Helps to implement the goals, modifications, and benchmarks established by the special education liaison within the building. Works with the classroom teacher and assists in the classroom as the teacher deems appropriate. This may include small group instruction, giving frequent breaks, making modifications for students, and working with diverse learning styles.
Will implement current IEP plans and data collection using the ACE data system. Working with all grade level colleagues along with the classroom teacher and special education liaisons. Experience working with children with behavioral challenges. Other related duties as assigned
