What You'll Do
As the Triage Supervisor, you will provide leadership and oversight for our triage department while serving as a key clinical resource for providers, staff, and patients. Responsibilities include:
- Supervise, mentor, and support triage nursing staff.
- Manage staffing schedules and daily workflow.
- Perform annual employee evaluations and provide coaching for professional development.
- Assist with training and cross-training.
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients and providers, ensuring timely communication.
- Review and communicate test results.
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and radiology scheduling.
- Provide patient education and administer medications within your scope of practice.
- Serve as a clinical resource for the practice and assist with maintaining efficient patient flow.
- Support quality patient care through collaboration with providers and clinical staff.
- Assist with specialized nursing responsibilities, including infusion coverage as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Current North Carolina Nursing License (RN or LPN).
- Minimum of two years of triage and/or Gastroenterology experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills are required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound clinical decisions.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care.
- A leader who enjoys mentoring others, fostering accountability, and building a positive team culture.
