This position is responsible for preparing patients for examination, obtaining medical history and vital signs, assisting during clinical procedures, and ensuring a welcoming, compassionate experience for every patient. Availability on Saturdays is required for this role.Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00 hourly. WCC offers competitive salary and benefits including medical, dental and vision health insurance plans, 10 vacation days for first year employees, 12 paid holidays, sick leave, life insurance, a retirement plan, and an employee assistance program.Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of a Medical Assistant Certificate Program (National Association of Trade and Technical Schools or equivalent)2 years of experience in community health or similar setting; Pediatrics experience highly preferred1 year of Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program experienceCurrent CPR certification requiredBilingual (English/Spanish) requiredEssential ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for exams and assist providers during visits and minor proceduresAccurately document patient information and manage records in the electronic health record (EHR) systemPerform vital signs, vision tests, and immunizationsMaintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical suppliesDemonstrate knowledge of HIPAA, infection control, and emergency protocolsInteract with patients and staff in a professional and caring manner consistent with WCC’s missionAdditional duties as assignedSkills & CompetenciesExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organizational ability; can manage multiple priorities efficientlyAbility to work effectively with diverse patient populationsProfessional appearance and demeanorCertification in Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (required)What’s Next?Thank you for your interest!
