Key Responsibilities
- Operate and regulate pumps, valves, and other essential plant equipment to support treatment processes.
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to plant operations, including EPA-required documentation.
- Conduct process control and lab analysis in support of NPDES permit compliance.
- Serve as backup Operator of Record for the wastewater plant and/or collection system as necessary.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of tanks, pumps, motors, lift stations, and vehicles.
- Perform housekeeping and grounds maintenance, including mowing and snow removal.
- Notify supervisors when chemicals are needed and assist with monitoring and sampling equipment.
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
- Respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting Hourly Rate: $25.10
- Shift Differential: Up to 10% may apply
- Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid leave, and participation in OPERS (Ohio Public Employees Retirement System).
