We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and organized Long-Term Substitute Teacher to cover for a teacher on maternity leave from September through December. The successful candidate will teach two courses: Exploring Digital Media (5th Grade) and Integrated Global Studies (6th Grade). Both classes emphasize STEAM integration, research-based exploration, and creative arts engagement.
Approximate Dates: September 2026 for approximately 12 weeks.
Long-term substitutes are required to attend the paid New Teacher Orientation Aug. 11 - 13.
Salary & Benefits: The daily rate of pay is $150/day. Substitutes working 20 consecutive days in the role of a teacher/licensed position are considered long-term. The daily rate of pay for long-term substitutes is $250/day. Long-term substitutes have access to health insurance per the terms of the current WEA contractual bargaining agreement.
Qualifications: Valid IL Educator Licensure with proper endorsement.
