EXPERIENCED TRANSMISSION & HEAVY LINE TECHNICIAN WANTED
Willy’s Transmissions and Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Transmission / Heavy Line Technician to join our team in Kāneʻohe, Hawaii.
We’re seeking a skilled technician with strong hands-on experience in transmission repair, heavy line work, advanced diagnostics, and complex mechanical repairs.
If you’re confident diagnosing difficult problems, performing major repairs, and getting the job done right the first time, we want to hear from you.
PAY: $45 PER HOUR
Earn $45 per hour in a full-time position focused on advanced automotive repair, transmission systems, and heavy line work.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform transmission removals, installations, and repairs
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical concerns
- Perform heavy line repairs and major component replacements
- Diagnose drivability and performance issues
- Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Use professional scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Perform engine and diesel-related repairs as needed
- Follow manufacturer specifications and proper repair procedures
- Use hand tools, specialty tools, and shop equipment safely
- Inspect completed repairs and verify proper operation
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation
- Work closely with technicians and service personnel
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Heavy line experience is required.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 4 years of automotive technician experience preferred
- 3 years of transmission repair experience preferred
- Strong transmission repair, removal, and installation skills
- Hands-on heavy line repair experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities
- Automotive electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with professional scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical problems
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and dependable work habits
Additional qualifications:
- Diesel repair experience is a plus
- ASE certifications are preferred
