Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Optometrist at Wills Eye Health Systems western suburban clinical locations in the greater Philadelphia region. Working within a well established and successful Ophthalmologist led outpatient clinical location you will have the opportunity to build your own practice and manage medical, surgical and refractive patients. As an Optometrist, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, and collaborate with a team of skilled ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities include prescribing corrective lenses, conducting diagnostic tests, counseling patients on eye health and preventative care, and providing post-surgical care and follow-ups. You will work closely with patients of all ages to ensure optimal eye health and visual outcomes.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school and a current, valid professional license to practice optometry in Pennsylvania.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical management skills in evaluating and treating ocular diseases.
- Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye exams and prescribing corrective lenses and contact lenses.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and collaborate within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Commitment to patient care and delivering exceptional service to individuals with various eye care needs.
- Experience in post-surgical care and working with advanced diagnostic tools is preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
