Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and financial support to Principal Investigators and the Director of Sponsored Projects.
- Oversee post-award activities, including fund setup, journal entries, reconciliations, and monitoring of grant expenditures.
- Review award documents, budgets, and justifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Process research-related financial transactions, including e-Requisitions, vendor invoices, travel requests, and reimbursement documentation.
- Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations governing sponsored programs, including effort reporting requirements.
- Assist with audit preparation, financial data analysis, and reporting obligations (including SEFA).
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, research staff, and external partners to support the administration of sponsored projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- Preferred: Familiarity with OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), grants administration, or research finance.
- Preferred: Experience working with financial software applications, databases, or reporting tools.
