The Opportunity:
The Front Desk Supervisor at our fitness center is a pivotal role that blends exceptional customer service, leadership, and organizational skills. As the primary point of contact for our members, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience within our fitness center. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage a team, handle member inquiries, maintain facility operations, and contribute to the overall success of our fitness center.
Duties and Functions:
• Supervising and leading the front desk team to provide exceptional service to all members and guests.
• Overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures of the fitness center.
• Handling member inquiries, providing information about facility offerings, classes, and membership benefits.
• Coordinating and scheduling fitness center staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
• Managing member check-ins, payments, and registrations for classes and personal training sessions.
• Resolving member concerns, feedback, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
• Collaborating with other departments to promote club-wide events, promotions, and activities.
• Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized facility by monitoring equipment, supplies, and cleanliness.
• Enforcing club policies and safety protocols to create a secure and welcoming environment.
• Assisting in the planning and execution of fitness center programs, workshops, and challenges.
Qualification Standards:
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fitness or hospitality setting.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an approachable and friendly demeanor.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for check-ins, payments, and basic record-keeping.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in managing schedules and reservations.
• Knowledge of fitness center operations, equipment, and classes is advantageous.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within a specified time frame.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
