Assistant General Manager – Upscale Restaurant
$80,000 - $85,000
This renowned, upscale local restaurant, known for its quality ingredients and creative menu, is seeking an Assistant General Manager who brings a true passion for hospitality and outstanding service.

Your Role with the Company:
- Ensure adherence to all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and training programs on a timely basis
- Oversee compliance with health, fire, and safety codes, including food preparation, service areas, and building maintenance
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
- Assist in food service tasks when needed, including clearing tables and serving guests during peak times
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to food quality, service, or facility issues
- Manage daily cash handling and receipt reconciliation in accordance with financial policies
- Lead, organize, and facilitate training programs for new and existing employees
- Participate in hiring and termination decisions, conduct performance evaluations, and help resolve personnel issues
- Analyze procedures and identify opportunities for improving service, performance, and safety
- Assess staffing levels and assist with recruitment and scheduling of hourly employees
- Support a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, onboarding, recruitment support, maintaining employee records, and light inventory ordering
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager in a high volume ($6M ) full-service upscale restaurant
- Proven experience in a full-service setting with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about food education and able to inspire team members
- Dedicated to improving team cohesion and expanding performance
- Skilled in evaluating and enhancing operational procedures
- Willing and able to support the General Manager with any operational or team needs, stepping in as necessary to ensure smooth day-to-day execution
