Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Carpenter to support our residential construction team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of carpentry or construction experience and be comfortable working in a variety of environments, including at heights. This role involves assisting the Lead Carpenter with daily tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Carpenter with all aspects of residential construction and carpentry work
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials as directed
- Load, unload, and organize tools and materials on job sites
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Help with framing, trim work, siding, and general carpentry tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in residential construction or carpentry
- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well with others and follow direction from the Lead Carpenter
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with framing, roofing, or finish carpentry
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Work Environment:
- Residential construction sites
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
