Willow Tex, LLC, located in Mount Airy, NC, is a Textile Manufacturer of high-quality leather alternative is seeking to fill the position of Production Batching Technician.
The Team Member will be responsible for a variety of tasks including PU color production and Adhesive production. Candidate must be willing to train in several areas, including operating production machinery, chemical and color batching, and staging. The applicant must be comfortable with working with chemicals. They will be expected to always follow standard operating procedures and practice safe work habits, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
The Individual must be able to perform tasks involved in the production of all Willow Tex products and always strive to exceed superior company and customer quality standards. This position requires attention to detail and adhering to strict quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently, and as part of a team. The Individual should be self-motivated, self-starter, reliable, and dependable. Must be willing to perform in a positive team-oriented environment and should be able to multi-task and manage time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand for long periods of time. In addition to standing and walking, the frequent physical demands of the position are lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, handling, grasping, repetitive motions, and using eye, hand, and foot coordination. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance. The ability to have strong basic math and computer skills are necessary for this position. A full job description of duties will be supplied at the interview.
Full Time: $16-18 hr based on experience
