What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Principal position at Willow Springs Middle School?
The Willow Springs R-IV School District is accepting applications for the position of Middle School Principal effective the 2026-2027 school year. The Principal serves as the educational leader for the school and responsible for ensuring the development of quality programs in a safe environment. The candidate must be able to administer sound fiscal practices, recruit and retain qualified staff and foster an open communication between school and community.
The successful candidate needs strong organizational skills, experience in monitoring and evaluating curriculum, and a clear criminal background. He/she will demonstrate integrity, fairness, mutual respect, and high ethical standards. The successful candidate will exercise courtesy and discretion; serve as a role model for staff and students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Establish the vision and goals for the middle school
*Review classroom curriculum
*Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
*Recruiting, hiring, supervising and evaluating staff members
*Establish a positive relationship between the school and the community
*Keep all required certification requirements up to date and seek continuous education to stay current in educating trends
*Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in diverse populations
This is a 10.25-month contract with work responsibilities beginning August 3, 2026.
