Monday - Friday, Days

Position Summary
The Outpatient Therapist Intern will provide clinical services to patients in our Outpatient Program. Outpatient Therapist Interns make assessments, create treatment plans, serve as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and document in the patient chart interactions with patients and family as well as the patient's progress toward reaching treatment goals.
Outpatient Therapist Interns also engage in discharge planning activities. The Therapist Intern provides group, individual and family therapy activities and collaborates with community providers, social service agencies and other therapeutic programs. Therapist-Interns are called upon to perform crisis intervention and to address hostile behaviors in accordance with facility approved interventions.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or similar field.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health treatment setting preferred. DBT training a plus.
LICENSURE: Must possess MFT-I. Will be required to submit evidence of licensure at the time of interview. If offered, applicant must obtain LMFT license within 6 months of completion of intern hours to maintain employment.
