Our client, a rapidly growing, privately held professional services organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support its Northeast regional offices.

Position Overview
This HRBP role is based in New York City and reports directly to the People Director. Supporting a growing population of employees across multiple Northeast locations—this position is ideal for a proactive HR leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. The HRBP will function as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, driving people strategies that enhance culture, engagement, performance, and business outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor to leadership and employees, providing guidance aligned with the organization’s values and business objectives.
- Lead and support core HR functions such as employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and talent development.
- Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience and conduct new hire orientations.
- Implement talent management strategies including succession planning, skill gap assessments, and development programs for high-potential employees.
- Partner with leadership on organizational development initiatives including workforce planning and change management.
- Ensure performance reviews are delivered effectively and consistently.
- Collaborate closely with centralized HR, talent acquisition, associate development, and internship program teams.
- Maintain strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and evolving HR best practices.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the region.
- Analyze HR data and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.
- Provide basic HRIS reporting and assist with specialized HR projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive HR experience across multiple states, ideally in a generalist or HRBP capacity.
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS platforms such as PeopleSoft or Taleo is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within the region.

Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
