What are the responsibilities and job description for the GA Pre-k Lead Teacher position at Willow's Planet Daycare and Academy?
- Must meet all Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher qualifications through DECAL and GaPDS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child Development, or another approved field.
- Hold a valid Georgia Pre-K approved teaching certificate or credential.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- Complete required assessments, documentation, and child progress reports.
- Maintain positive and professional communication with families, staff, and administration.
- Ensure compliance with all Georgia Pre-K, DECAL, and licensing requirements.
- Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
