We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Daycare Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Duties
- Provide attentive care to children across multiple age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist classroom teachers with daily activities such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and engaging children in age-appropriate play and learning experiences
- Support classroom management by helping implement curriculum plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Step into different classrooms as needed to fill staffing gaps or support special activities, maintaining consistency in care standards
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, changing stations, and shared spaces regularly
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children’s needs, progress, or concerns
- Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for early childhood education
- Classroom experience managing young children’s behavior through positive reinforcement techniques
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are advantageous
- Experience caring for infants through preschool-aged children in daycare or similar settings is highly valued
