We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to menu planning. The Cook will work closely with the dietary department and other staff to deliver exceptional food service.

Duties -Full time cook

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed during food preparation and handling.
• Assist in menu planning, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to provide nutritious meals that meet the needs of all clients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other cooking tools.
• Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality service is delivered.
• Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
• Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are highly desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in meal preparation.
