Job Overview
Willow Creek Golf Course is located at Willow Valley Resort. We looking to hire for the season (April 1st - October 31st). Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. No experience required, willing to train.
General duties include mowing, trimming & general landscaping for our 9-hole par 3 course and resort.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 7am-330pm
Employees get free golf and other Resort benefits.
Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming to keep fairways, greens, and surrounding areas immaculate
- Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently to perform routine maintenance
- Support irrigation system checks and repairs to ensure optimal watering schedules and healthy turf growth
- Maintain the course’s aesthetic appeal by performing gardening tasks like planting, watering, fertilizing, and weed control
- Help with general land management activities including soil preparation, aeration, and turf repair
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools to ensure safety standards are met and perform basic maintenance as needed
- Collaborate with team members to implement landscaping projects that enhance the course’s visual appeal and playability
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with lawn care, gardening, or landscaping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of horticulture principles or land management practices is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is essential
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills in groundskeeping and course maintenance
