Seasonal Pool-Side Cafe Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, customer service-oriented individual with a positive attitude for our Manager and Assistant Manager role at our poolside Wave Cafe. Ideal candidates will have open availability to include daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ideal candidates must be proactive, detail-oriented, and exceptional team players with a passion for first-rate customer experience. Food & Beverage plus managerial experience is required.

Various tasks and duties for this role include (but are not limited to):

• Maintain a highly visible presence with members, guests and staff throughout meal service
• Oversee order-taking and utilize a Point of Sale (POS) system to ring in orders
• Assure proper systems of service are being upheld during shift in the Wave Café, bar and on the pool deck
• Communicate with culinary team on inventory
• Assure that proper sanitation guidelines are followed by service team
• Assign opening and closing responsibilities
• Ensure the pool facility inside and outside is clean, well-stocked, and well presented to members at all times, along with pool staff
• Maintain a clear understanding of menu items
• Assist other department managers with the setup of pool parties, holiday events, and swim meets
• Enforce club policies, rules, and regulations
• Provide excellent customer service as well as a safe environment for all members, guests, and staff

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years or older in order to manage pool bar
• Must have at least 1 year experience in Food & Beverage
• Must have at least 1 year experience in a managerial or leadership role
• Open and flexible availability from May through September

The Wave Cafe is open daily Monday-Sunday. The pay rate for the Assistant Manager is $17/per hour and $21/per hour for our Manager role. This seasonal role begins mid-May and lasts till the middle of September with the opportunity to continue employment in another department following the Wave Cafe season.
