Patient Care Coordinator
Our group medical practice specializes in mental health care in South Anchorage. We are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized service to our patients in a respectful, private, and calming environment. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our administrative and medical support team.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 9:15 AM to 6:15 PM, that offers an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, simple IRA, paid vacations, and holidays. This position involves both administrative responsibilities and direct patient care. Pay $22-30/hr DOE. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
* Functioning as a liaison between patients and providers.
* Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, including reminder calls.
* Managing provider schedules.
* Ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience.
* Communicating messages between patients and providers.
* Maintaining documentation of patient interactions in EHR and paper charts.
* Creating/filing charts and ensuring necessary documents are received and completed.
* Assisting with e-prescribing, correspondence with pharmacies, and faxing prescriptions.
* Conducting patient phone intakes.
* Corresponding with community agencies and outside providers.
* Collecting co-payments and past due balances.
* Verifying insurance coverage, managing prior authorizations, and appeals as needed.
* Obtaining patient vital signs.
* Opening and/or closing responsibilities for the office.
Potential Role:
* Training and certification as a TMS technician
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of medical office experience is required.
- Experience in the mental health field is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduates of CMA or CNA programs are welcome.
- Must pass background check
