Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling cash responsibly.
- Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure that merchandise is well-displayed on the sales floor.
- Supervise inventory levels and assist with restocking shelves as needed.
- Engage customers with product demos and provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
- Utilize upselling techniques to encourage additional purchases while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding promotions, product features, and store policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations.
- Familiarity with supervising stock levels and maintaining inventory accuracy is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting products is highly valued.
