About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood education team in Storrs, CT. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. You will support daily classroom activities, engage with children in educational play, and help manage classroom routines to foster a positive learning experience.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment for all children.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support children with daily routines, including mealtimes, handwashing, and diapering transitions.
- Engage with children during play and learning activities to encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily highlights.
Requirements
- Credits in Early Childhood Education
- Ability to work well with others.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
